Layer compact mode

Hi Michael,
I use a lot of layers in some songs. Would it be possible to add a feature where the layer window is really compact but still displays all the information? I work exclusively on a laptop with a 2K screen, and I’d like to be able to see all the layers on my screen without having to scroll and scroll…

You know the collapse option there (u can collapse LAYER’s panel), did you find it different from what you would like to see?

Hmm, interesting proposal, @kyru. What information, what parameters would you consider absolutely necessary in such an even more condensed view, especially as you’re working with a notebook (what screen size, btw)?

Hello, thank you very much for your responses. Here is a screenshot with my notes. The information in red is what I’d like to see in compact mode as well. The volume control is much too large; a single knob for both MIDI and audio would be more than enough for me, and the option to switch between audio and MIDI could safely be omitted.

There is no need for MIDI In. This you can easily show with colors already.

To assign this colors, go to connections

And the In- and Out-Port is in the title bar of the layer also

I would like to see less parameters in compact mode - Name, Keys from-to, IN, Instrument, OUT, Mute, Solo. Nothing more, because if I set up the layer, I extend it, do what I need and then compact it again. On live show I don’t need to see parameters at all. But in rehearsal I need to see only those few.
