Layer disable icon stays blue after reload but the layer still plays

Hi everyone, I’m new here, so first of all hello to all of you and thanks in advance for your patience.

There’s something I don’t quite understand. In the top-right corner of each layer there’s a small icon that I assume is meant to enable or disable the layer. When I click it, it turns light blue and the layer stops playing.

If I then save everything and close the project, when I reopen it the icon is still light blue. So I would expect the layer to still be disabled. But that’s not what happens: the layer plays as if that icon did nothing. I have to click it once to turn it off and then click it again to disable the layer again, and only then does the layer stop playing.

Is this a bug?

Yes that’s a bug in 2.2.105 & 3.0.25, at least on MacOS

I also noticed that the volume/midi level and midi signal indicators don’t light up until you press that enable button several times - regardless of whether it was enabled at save or not.

I think most if us use the Mute button.

Thanks for the reply, CliveJ. I can confirm that the issue is still present in version 3.0.25. I’m working on Windows, and the behavior is the same here.

This is a bug that has not been adressed for a long time. Probably from the day that button was introduced. Both Mac and Windows. I’ve tested this with lots of versions and it is there.

Layer disable button works realtime (if you click or assign it to a midi cc) but not on part change.

On part change it is simply ignored. So I can confirm this bug as well @Spork @musicullum
