Hi all,
I create a song with only one part and 1 layer.
I create an audio track. If I SOLO this track, the layer is muted.
For me, audio and layer should be independant, no ?
Moreover, when layer is muted, midi notes are no longer sent.

Hi @magicguigui,
that’s the correct behaviour : If one source will be solo’ed, all other sources will be muted.
See you
Michael.
Ok but is it possible to keep the send of midi notes ?

Solo it too (but seriously, solo/pfl is made for “debugging” purposes from the beginning of time…),
… @fkalmus is correct. If you solo a “source” you want to hear that only. If you want to have another source to join that situation, then solo that, too. No?
See you,
Michael.
On one hand, yes I agree with you.
But in my case, I’m using a layer just to control by midi my voicelive 3.
I needed to solo an audio track and at the same time, to control my VL3 but I spent long time to understand why I couldn’t control my VL3 until I saw that the layer was muted.
I understand the point of view of “source” but what about the cases where layers are only use to send midi notes for control device ?
Put them both in a folder track and solo/unsolo them in folder level? If you need to do this kind of solo-ing frequently…
Good idea thank you
