Hi! As beginner projects in Dorico, I input these two soprano/piano pieces. When I print them out they look completely different. “The Song Maker” is too small - “Silence Above, Silence Below” is too big. What did I do wrong? and how can I make them look identical as they will be performed as a set.
Are you using the same size paper. From the image I cannot tell.
Your second song is missing the copyright information. Are you using the same page templates?
If you open your first song and then import the second one, you will end up with one project containing both of your songs.
Then make sure you apply the same page template to the beginning of each flow.
This way both your songs will have same page size, same rastral size, same margins, and so on.
Yes - exact same paper size.
I printed it out before I added the copyright information.
Yes - same paper size.
How did you add this information?
The Dorico way would be to change/edit the First page template (and not to change directly in your layout). That way your projects will look similar - and that is what you are after, if I understand your first post correctly.
To me it looks as if the entire page has been rescaled somehow in The Song Maker. Are you sure you used the exact same method/settings for printing both?
The first thing is to check the Layout Options > Page Setup.
Page size, Staff Size, margins.
Looks like the frame on The song maker is smaller.
