Hi, I’d like to change the layout of a chord, shifting some of its notes to the left or right of the chord stem. I’ve searched in layout mode, but haven’t found any chord layouts… or how to move a notehead within a chord. I have Dorico Pro 5.
Thanks.
Hi, could you describe more precisely what you’re looking for, with a picture?
Dorico determines the placement of noteheads relative to the stem automatically, following standard conventions. Can you say more about the specific situations in which you find yourself wanting to make a different choice?

I’m a Finale user, and I work professionally. I encounter situations where the composer wants the note heads arranged differently than the automatic ones.
Hi @Montserrat_Castro, despite half of your screenshot example is not visible, you can obtain this combinations, using a new voice, and strategically assigning different Voice Column Indexes, hiding stems or flipping them as necessary, and with a slight global adjustment in Engraving Options > Notes > Voices.
But especially the quarter notes chords in the second bar are really bad looking! (left bar: Dorico default, right bar: manual adjustments)

Hi Christian_R,
Thanks so much for the tip! Yes, I know the last two chords look bad, but I just wanted to give an example. Thanks so much!
