How can I get the text on the lower right to align with the right margin and have it still be on the same line it is now (with the data from the other token)?
I often find the layout of this kind of text difficult. In this case, I think it’s the only hymn in the entire hymnal where the text for the tune (“Melodija”) and meter is simply too long to fit on one line. So the “orphan” word “priegiesmiu” is wrapped to the next line. I could just put a return in after “priegiesmiu)”, but then there’s extra white space which I do not like:
Attached is a Dorico template file (that’s where I’d like any changes made in the text box if there is a way to do it). Also attached is the Dorico file for this hymn.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
Eric
EDIT: Since @ashberber’s post included more than one solution, I’m going to quote the one I used here:
Another approach would be to put the subtitle token in its own frame. Visually align the text baselines, then make the frame the full width of the page and set the text to right align.
One way is to select the frame, open the bottom Properties panel, and increase the position of the Right tab stop. I find that a little over 128mm puts that text at the right margin, although this might be a little different with your fonts.

This might be a little easier if the composer dates token were also in its own frame, at the bottom of the page. Then you have one frame above it with the copyright and work number tokens, and another with the subtitle token. Both of these should be the width of the page, and should have their bottoms aligned. In addition, they should have their vertical alignment property set to Bottom so that the text sits at the bottom. Then make the text in the copyright/work number frame justified, and the text in the subtitle frame right aligned.
You can make these edits to your template, and it would also be neater if you made better use of paragraph styles for these, instead of manually editing text characteristics.
What would really be nice here is more control over tab stops – specifically, the ability to set a right-aligned tab stop. This has been requested before.
