LE5 and Aleisis io2

I can not get Cubase to receive input from my IO2 despite it showing up. I have installed the asio4all driver as recommended but still feel I am missing something. The other day I plugged the IO2 into my mates Macbook and we had it working with Garage Band in no time at all - REALLY FRUSTRATING!

I am using it on a lap top with Windows XP so have been told that this should work.

If anyone can help I would be really grateful as I am desperate to get this working especially as I have seen what it can do when linked up with Garage Band and really want to see what I can do in Cubase.

Many thanks

Despite it showing up where???

Have you selected the ASIO4ALL driver in Cubase?

Have you followed the Cubase LE setup as detailed by Alesis (I’m assuming you have LE as you don’t say what version)

From the Alesis Quick Start owners Manual

To install the IO|2 on Windows XP, simply insert the
supplied Alesis CD-ROM and wait for the following menu to pop up:

Click “Install Alesis Audio Driver,” to proceed with the driver
installation. During the installation process, Windows XP will
prompt you with the following warning:

Press “Continue Anyway,” to finish the installation. Restart the machine as the
software recommends. Once your computer is restarted, your IO|2 is ready to
record.
