Legacy SX3.1 - authorizing for Mac?

I need to retrieve some old Cubase VST 5/32 songs. I managed to find the archive of Cubase SX3.1 (not easy to find) and have installed it. I’m aware it will run under Rosetta on my Intel MacPro.

Unfortunately it is reporting a Syncrosoft authorization error. I have a current Cubase 6 license - I was under the impression that this should allow me to open previous versions? I used to own SX3 but obviously have upgraded many times since then.

Is there a workaround for this? It’s frustrating to be so close to being able to open my old VST 5/32 songs but checkmated at the last moment…

I’ve posted this on the legacy and current C6 forums hoping to reach a wider audience…

thanks

Answered my own question in record time - I updated the E-licenser utility and performed the maintenance routine, and now SX3.1 opens.

Jolly good show.

Now I wonder if the VST5/32 songs will open…?

Hello,

Please be sure that you have installed the latest eLicenser Control Center after you have installed Cubase SX3.

(please no double posts)

Cheers,
