Legato and non-standard slur/tie-connections

Hi all,

just realised that Dorico will perform these two differently:

1st non legato bb-c, 2nd legato bb-c. So in order to have correct playback one need to use modern practice for this.

This however, works fine:

But this doesn’t:

And these two latter examples are quite standard I believe. I will probably just let this be, but is there a way of tweaking playback but still retain the notation?

When a slur begins on the last note of a tie chain, select all of the notes which should be slurred together, apply the legato playing technique and hide it. Then the playback should be correct.

I would say that Dorico should apply the legato playing technique in both versions equally, as this is only a configuration about where to draw the legato slur, not where to play it.

If Dorico handles those cases differently, I would consider this a bug.

This is something I complained about shortly after I joined this forum more than two and a half years ago.

Thank you all,
I will change the subject as this apparently has nothing to do with NP4. My bad.
