Hi all. Sorry, endless questions from me I know! Is there a way or creating “leggero” playing for piano. It’s not one of the offered playing styles, and I can’t see how to create it (still very much a novice). many thanks.
Or just use text. I have style saved for Expressive text, in italics. (And a shortcut assigned to it.)
If you create a Playing Technique, make sure that it doesn’t apply Natural, for situations where you might leggero whilst other technique is also in effect.
Thanks for confirming everyone. It was the playback I weas interested in. No worries.
You’ll only get “leggero” playback if the sample library you’re using (and its expression map) has a ‘leggero’ style that can be triggered by some MIDI command; or if you can come up with some other method for achieving the effect, e.g. reducing the dynamic.
Don’t give up though. First find the piano sound you want - then we can help you get it triggered. I wouldn’t want to turn this into a favorite piano thread, but that’s the main thing I’ve found. Life is too short to try and make a certain piano/performance sound like something it isn’t - even if you do end up with a few different libraries for different situations.
