Length conditions in expression map difficulty

I have tried defining length conditions for staccatos in an Expression Map in multiple ways, but it seems I cannot get notes longer than medium length to respond in this case:

I have tried using staccato +
== long
== very long

= long
= very long

but all the Key Editor will return is “Natural” for half and whole notes here.

There is a setting in Playback Options>Timing that limits the application of the staccato technique…
