Is there any way the tie portion on a new line at the start can be made longer by default? I find they are much too short. Has this been discussed before? My searches cant find anything.

I’m not at my computer so I can’t try to reproduce this. But it looks to me like the tie is either to a hidden note or it’s a misplaced l.v. tie. What is the context (without the system break)? Thanks.

@jaskarbong its simply two consecutive notes tied. No hidden notes or anything.
I’ve also been having this problem… You can adjust the Minimum gap after barline option in Engraving options > Spacing Gaps, although that will affect all barlines so not ideal. Or of course, manual adjustment to horizontal spacing in engrave mode.
It’s just curious to me that it looks too high for the B, almost as if it’s for a tied D.
