lengthen/shorten glissando line

Dear users and developers,

The followings do not work:

  • lengthen/shorten glissando line by pressing alt + shift + right arrow
  • shorten glissando line by pressing alt + shift + left arrow

Is there a way to shorten/lengthen a glissando line?

Glissando likes always connect to the next note, so I am not sure what you mean by „shorten“ or „lengthen“.
You should find that you can edit the length in engrave mode with alt-left/right.

Oh, sorry! I question was not clear.
“Lengthen” means attaching the right endpoint of a glissando to the next note in the timeline.
“Shorten” means attaching the right endpoint of a glissando to the previous note in the timeline.

I believe that the behaviour of slur might be beneficial to glissando line.

There is at present no way to lengthen or shorten a glissando line. While it might be simple enough in some circumstances, e.g. when there is only a run of single notes, it’s less clear what it should do when there are chords involved. We don’t rule out the possibility of implementing something like this in future, but it’s not in our immediate plans.

Thanks for letting know it!
