here’s a suggestion:
would it not be fairly simple to integrate the Cubase/Nuendo video engine directly into the VST Connect performer and offer video import and playback features that sync to the incoming stream from VST connect Pro or SE?. the idea being that all the VST connect performer or Client would do is import the same video file and set the same TC location and it can be used also as a remote streaming feature for mix approval or ADR etc. Also with the use of VST plugin integration can it not also include a surround decoder so that it can also receive a surround matrixed encoded stereo stream for 5.1 playback on the clients end… These are much needed features for my workflow and the growing trend of remote workflows.
