Level control not responding for sampler track

Hi,

Is there a way to get the volume on the sampler track to respond to the level control on the transport bar? It is set for All Midi Inputs.

PS. I cant seem to get it to work with my audio files either.

PPS. I am not using the control room. The master fader does not respond to the level control. Is it supposed to?

Had to reset my preferences. Lost a days previous work. Was the first in line on the phone cue. Waited 45 minutes.
Had to reinstall plugins. I HATE cubase!!!
