Library display issue in HAlion Sonic 2026

Good afternoon, dear community! I really ask for help in solving the issue! After all, this problem arose for me back in the summer (six months ago) and since then nothing has helped me.

I have a problem with the display of the Guitar M library. Before using the library, I carefully read the installation instructions, downloaded everything I needed (Steinberg Activation Manager, Steinberg Library Manager, Steinberg MediaBay). Everywhere in these applications I have my guitar registered that I purchased. But when I turn on Halion Sonic, it simply does not see it.

I tried all the methods I could find on the Internet, here on the forum six months ago I asked this question, but there was no solution.

I work on a MacBook Pro with an m4 chip, MacOS Tahoe 26.3
The problem was also on a MacBook Air six months ago.

I would also like to add that I am upset by the level of communication of the developers. I’ve been spending money on a product that hasn’t worked for half a year, and no one has helped me with it. No one is solving this problem. And there is no refund policy. That is, I just gave the money to the developers - who apparently don’t care about the buyer.

I’m attaching screenshots. Maybe someone can help me, I’ll definitely thank you!

Hi Stiv_Glue,

I am sorry to hear you have problems with the content for such a long time. Didn’t you contact our support department? Normally, they should be able to help you here.

Please try the following, to recreate the preferences of the MediaBay. To do this, click on “Go” in the Finder menu. Press the “Option” key on your keyboard while the menu is open. This adds the “Library” entry, which can now be selected. In the Library, open the “Preferences” folder.

Now rename the folders “Steinberg MediaBay Server” and “Steinberg MediaLib” under “/Users//Library/Preferences/” as follows:

“x_Steinberg MediaLib”

“x_Steinberg MediaBay Server”

Upon the next program start, these folders will be recreated, which often resolves the issue.

Cheers,
Jan

Unfortunately it didn’t work(

I renamed the folders as you said. When I logged into Haliion Sonic it created new folders but it didn’t solve the problem, unfortunately the library is not displayed at all as before

Please tell me what else can I do?

Hi Stiv_Glue,

What does your Steinberg Library Manager look like? Is everything registered correctly? Please send a screenshot with unfolded details. In addition, please check, if all permissions are set correctly under “Privacy & Security” in the system preferences. You should have “Full disc access” for all Steinberg applications.

Cheers,
Jan
