Library manager issue installing Dorico Elements 5.1.81 on Big Sur via Download Asisstant

I’m on a late 2013 macbbok pro running big sur.

I downloaded Steinberg Download Assistent and tried to install dorico 5 elements. At the beginning download assistant install last library manager version 3.2.71 build 322 (21/10/2025 21.11.03). It seems all ok and I manage to open library manager

But when download assistant install Dorico 5.1.81 an error appears:
Steinberg Library Manager privileged helper has wrong version (-1,-1). Failed to establish privileged helper. From so on I cannot open library manager beacause of the error.

I tried also a manual installation but nothing changed.

Any idea?

You do not say which OS you are running, but my experience with my 2012 MacBook is that Dorico has long surpassed the recommended OS to run recent versions.

I’m running Big sur (mac os 11) which is widely supported. It seems like an incompatibulity between latest library manager and dorico 5.1.81

In regards to that weird wrong version (-1, -1) message, please have a look at this thread (scroll pretty much down to the end) and see if that also solves your problem.
