License activation issue - verification process

I have been a Cubase user since cubase 5.

I recently paid to upgrade from 10.5 to Cubase Pro 12

I installed the software via download assistant and got it up and running all fine.

I then received an email from Steinberg a few weeks later:

“The process of updating has two steps to complete. Our records show that you have not yet completed the second step of the verification process to verify your eligibility for the update.”

I started the verification process from that email, and all appeared to go well. I selected the relevant licence from my dongle and that was that.

When I open Cubase now, it is now telling me that my licence will expire tomorrow.

If I try to activate again, via Download Assistant (entering my Download Access Code) when I click continue after checking that the Activation Code is correct, it says “no license to upgrade selectable”. Please connect USB e-Licenser which contains an appropriate licence…"

The dongle attached is the only one I have and it is the one that I used to upgrade via this process a few days ago.

I checked my receipt to make sure I bought the right upgrade/update and it clearly says “Cubase Pro 12 Update from Cubase (Pro) 4 / 5 / 6 / 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8 / 8.5 / 9 / 10 / 10.5 /”

When I look in eLicenser Control Centre, the only licence showing says “Cubase Pro 11 (Upgraded to 12 with Steinberg Licensing)”

I have no idea how to solve this and I cant find any steinberg info within Support to help.

I have projects on the go and it appears that Cubase will stop working tomorrow.

Please help,

Cheers

You do realize that the licensing system has changed? Open the new Steinberg Activation Manage on your computer.

Jesus, now I feel dumb. Solved - thank you!
