licenses not recognised after updating from Le8 to 10.5

hey guys

I originally had the cubase le8 installed running . i paid for the update to 10.5 and downloaded installed the files .

upon running cubase 10.5 , the actiavtion center opens . It asks for the activation code i got on the email , but on entering it says license can not be updated from cubase le8 .

i am sorry if this question has been asked before , but i honestly tried to find a solution before coming to the forum .


Is there something i can do to fix this ?

Hi and welcome,

First transfer your Cubase LE 8 license to the USB-eLicenser. Then you can upgrade your Cubase LE 8 license to Cubase Pro 10.5 license. Am I right you bought an upgrade to Cubase Pro?

If you are still on LE edition, make sure your Cubase LE 8 is activated on the Soft-eLicenser (on your computer) before you upgrade, please.
