Limited Note length in "Played duration"

Hello! This is my first topic here)

I try to do funky guitar muted notes sound naturaly, therefore I try to decrease the note length in ''Played duration” to a sufficient value. I grab the right side of the note and drag it to the left but Dorico limits length on specific value (offset: -27 tics).

That is a minimum length I can reach by draging

However I can decrease the “Playback end offset” in a properties panel.

And that is what I need.

So this limitation is only by draging. That is a good news:)
But switching to the properties panel…. and then back takes much more time than just to drag in the Key Editor and it makes a workflow more twitchy, seems critical in my working style.

Is there a way to fix it?

Find the solution by assigning a shortcuts to “increase/decrease playback end offset”.
But now I have an Idea to make x-noteheads (muted notes in my case) to sound shorter while playback by default on this instrument… Is it possible to do?

It’s not possible to do this directly based on the notehead set alone; you can, however, define a switch in the expression map that will apply a length modifier to the written note.
