Hello, I feel dumb when I ask this kind of questions, but still.
In the playing techniques editor… how do I insert a line break?
I mean, I’d like to insert a
molto
sul pont.
two lines. Do I have to insert two separate text layers in the editor?
That’s not a dumb question. I don’t believe there’s a way to. I tried copying the text from a text editor that allows line breaks, like Word, but it didn’t work in this case.
I guess you need to enter two layers.
Just for fun - depending on the underlying code implementation, maybe try:
molto\nsul point
(inserting an escaped new line char)
It would be nice to be able to insert line breaks in all the text properties. For example, I sometimes want my D.S. text to read:
D.S. al coda
(Repeats good on D. S.}
While we’re at it, I’d probably want to format the first line larger than the second.
I’ve got this problem too, I want to write:
(harm.
gliss.)
because otherwise it pushes all the other indications around:

Four years, on is there a solution yet?
I’m afraid there’s no native solution for this as yet, no. You can either do as Dan suggests in this first reply in the thread, or you could hide the single-line playing technique via the Properties panel and add a Shift+X text item in its place.
