I have prepared the dorico file to show these note heads instead of the supported xml import note heads.
I have also prepared the default solid line to be thick and also changed the default line padding to 0 to get this line placement.
there is a problem with the dot but we will not talk about that at this moment.
My question is :
why do the notes placed on a staff line get an offset thick line ? if I delete that and manually places the same line it positions itself right.
I have been clicking looking in engraver option on âlinesâ and âglissando linesâ
They are gliss lines, not ordinary lines. I guess the default thin gliss line between two notes on the same staff line would disappear if not offset. Canât find any setting for it under Engraving Options->Gliss Lines.
Maybe you could rewrite to use ordinary lines between noteheads instead of gliss lines. Not sure if they are included in the xml spec, though.
hm..
when I replace the line I use the (modified) âsolid lineâ. and I have the good position. in the xml file I use the âslideâ tag because the glissando tag is mostly wavy..
But they all show up as gliss lines, so those settings are irrelevant unless you insert lines manually. Did you check the Engraving Options under Gliss Lines?
ok. but, so, where is this offset in play ?? I did a dot on the last line just to check that it wasnât a dot related position. and itâs not because the line before has the same, and no dotâŚ
As I said, I donât thing thereâs an option under Gliss Lines that will solve it, and if you canât import other lines than gliss or slide, youâre out of luck. Gliss lines are entered with Shift-O gliss.
