I’m trying to create a horizontal line with custom repeatable symbols. I’ve created a group using three different glyphs, the middle one is offset upwards. It looks fine in the Repeatable Symbols editor, it shows ok in the available options after creation, but when I choose the created combination the middle glyph is dropped to the baseline and does not stay where I have put it and as it shows in the glyph combination preview. See the attached pic, the glyph combination looks ok as I want it but the created line drops the middle glyph to the baseline. This looks like a bug to me, you would not expect to create something that looks fine but does not work at the end.
PS.- I’ve been doodling with the attachment points just in case, no difference at the end.
Hi @rjunchaya, yes, for some reason the repeatable symbols editor, at the end tends to force all the single symbols on the same height, despite the attachments or the offsets.
But here is how I managed to obtain what you need:
I was able to create a Playing Technique with that combination of symbols. I then made a slice SVG from that symbol and was able to use it as repeatable symbol for a new line.

Thanks a lot for showing that solution. I knew I could do it that way but was trying to avoid it. Seems like not possible at this moment. Still I think the editor is buggy in this respect, maybe a grouping option could be a good solution
The use of several symbols shouldn’t be a problem if they could be grouped as one unit (as it worked in Finale). But it is buggy that the editor shows the symbols in the correct position but the line collapses them all to the baseline.
BTW, you did a nice job in creating what @Christian_R suggested, hope you don’t mind if I grasp your creation into my project
No, but you can’t stop the line in the middle if it’s one object with all 3 symbols. It has to draw the full 3 symbols (unfortunate limitation). That’s why separate symbols are more flexible.
