Link Channels Key Command not working

No matter what key I assign to the Mixer - Link Channels command, I can’t get it to work in Cubase 7.5.2. If I right click on the channels and choose “Link Selected Channels” it works fine. But when I use my key command, nothing happens (no pop up window).

Works fine in Nuendo 6. Anyone else have this?

Ugh. Just figured out that the mixer has to be in focus for the key command to work. Not sure why this is the case. Would be nice if you could just select two tracks in the Project Window and also “link channels.”
