Linking control of noise gates in several tracks

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how to simultaneously control several noise gates (on separate tracks in Cubase 6) but using only one track as the controlling signal? (e.g. for tightening up overdubbed vovals attack/release)

actually, I’ve given it some further thought and I think “sidechaining” might be a solution.
