for some reason lately in C15 my option to use live input on the chord tab of any track i use has become faulty, as i play and record in cycle mode all kinds of extra notes are recorded making this option now unusable, this is a main function in my workflow so needless to say its put a real damper on midi recording in Cubase. I have tried disabling inputs ect in the Studio Menu, from all MIDI inputs and other such steps, I even used the onscreen keyboard but it still happens every time after a few cycles. If I dis able live input and play random chords in cycle mode it works as it used to no issue at all, (of course it now records all the bad chords I am playing as well because the live input correction to follow the chord track is off) this probably makes not much sense to most people because probably not a lot of users are using this live input function, but its a bad situation for me.

Manual says:
Snap Live Input
Automatically corrects the pitches of incoming notes according to the selected scale.
NB:
This only works if Record in Editor is activated
Have you followed the procsdure in the manual?

hi XLColdJ yes i typically use the settings you show in the diagram of new parts and stacked, but since I have been having the problem I went through all the other options as well to test, but it makes no difference…
hi Buer, yes I am aware and have followed all manual specific precedures, it makes no difference. again this is a new development, I have been using live input for years and on many recordings with no issue at all, and I am not referring to the snap live input in the editor that is working fine still, I am out in the project recording MIDI live on a track using the live input options under the chord options of the track inspector…
Does this also occur when not recording in cycle mode?
Can you give a specific example? Which scale or chord is on the Chord Track? Does the track you record on follow chords, scale? Which keys do you press and which notes appear in the part?
