I have an Akai LPD8 controller that I’d like to use to play some drum sounds in Cubasis. I successfully managed to use the LPD8 to control a midi track with percussion instruments. I also understand that I can use the (poor) Akai software to change the note sent by each of the pads so that I can reassign the drum sounds. But I would actually like to use sounds from different instruments (not a single one) to the various pads, and even map one of the pads to a custom sample that I have recorded. Is such a setup possible (control different instruments with the various pads of the LPD8)?
