Live Stage showing doubled instruments

… but not all. The picture should show what I mean.

I’m just playing around with this cool feature but as you can see, some instruments are “stuck” to others. I can’t find rhyme or reason. All the woodwinds are spread across 2 VSTs, separate channels, routed appropriately and have separate expression maps but yet certain pairs won’t separate.

What role does the expression map play (where the checkbox is), if any and what factors would cause something like this to happen.

Thanks

The instruments that are stuck together will be returned by the same output (or at least, Dorico thinks they are).

That’s what I thought, logical, but I double and triple checked these. Here’s an example of the VST (Play), E. Horn 1 and 2 and Alto Flute. I have the E. Horns going to output 9/10 and Alto Flute to 5/6. The mixer is correct.

But yet, E. Horn 1, 2 and Alto Flute are stuck (cluster above the “Save” button).

Perplexing…

If you attach the project itself, perhaps I’ll be able to spot something else.

… trying to resurrect my EW Symphonic template.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for attaching the project. I’m not sure what’s going on there, unfortunately. I need to ask my colleague Andrew, but he won’t be around until January, so I’ll check in with him about this in the New Year.

thanks, no hurry, I use Noteperformer HOOPUS NPPE 95% of the time and just wanted to play with the old symphonic orchestra for traveling … not essential at all.
