Is it possible to load scores, which are created with Dorico 6, into Dorico 5 , especially if they are created with D6 iPad ? Unfortunately I can’t update to Dorico 6 on my Mac, because the OS isn’t compatible anymore. But I want to install D6 on my IPad and load the files , which are created on my IPad to my desktop version.
Yes, indeed, you can open projects created in Dorico 6 in Dorico 5. Particularly if you’re using Dorico for iPad, there’s nothing particular you need to worry about, since none of the new features in Dorico 6 that are available at the SE/Elements levels of the software affect projects in such a way that anything is likely to be lost. (Things like cutaways, custom chord symbols, etc. are only possible to create in Pro.)
But bear in mind that if there is anything “six-y” in your document, D5 will ignore that data when it loads, and then will save the document without it.
I will add this term to my personal vocabulary, at least for the next two years. Y’know, it has that certain alluring 6-appeal to it…
You mean like |:E5-D5-A4-F4:|C5-Bb4-F4-D4-C5-Bb4-F4…?
