lock mixer "zoom palette" ?

I set my mixer’s zoom palette to view 18 channels in my mixer view, but when I toggle back and forth between the mixer and track view, my “zoom palette” settings change on me. For example, when I return to my mixer view, the “zoom palette” then changes to display fewer channels each time I toggle the mixer on and off. Any advice? I would love it if the mixer displayed the desired number of channels each time it is opened!

Ancient problem that’s been around since 7.0.0 and will most likely never get fixed since SB doesn’t seem to be bothered about it.

I only see this problem happening when my mixer pages are maximised. If they’re unmaximised or set to full screen then the problem goes away.
