Logical Editor Select Highest Note Instant Crash Mac 14.1.2

I am trying to use the Logical Editor select hightest note preset and it’s an instant crash of Cubase.

Any others have this issue?

I’d attach the crash log but the mac diag format isn’t supported here.

Hi,

Do you select a MIDI Part? Do you select some MIDI Notes in the Part, or do you apply the Logical Editor to the whole MIDI Part?

Could you attach the *.dmp/ips file, please?

Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).

It doesn’t crash on my side.

User Presets > Earlier Presets > Musical Context > Select Highest Pitch.

I was applying to to the entire midi part. The report won’t let me attached here because the extension is .diag. Could I email it to you?

*.diag file is not the one, we can read something from. Please attach the *.ips file. You can ZIP it, or you can share it via Dropbox or similar service.

Is this “Select Highest Note” preset a user- created preset? Because I’m not finding it in the list of factory presets –

As far as I know, this is an old prefer preset coming from Cubase 11 and older.

When I was looking for it earlier and couldn’t find it, I thought it was because it was a Midi preset and I don’t use Midi.
I could be wrong but that is why I thought it was missing for me.

You’re correct, Paul. Having always steered clear of this feature, I wasn’t aware that there are actually TWO logical editors* in Cubase, one for the Project and one for MIDI.

Anyway, the preset I was looking for is indeed in the Midi Logical Editor. I’m having some sucess using it to extract notes to send to new tracks, but it quits working, as far as I can tell, after a couple passes. ???

*which I find highly illogical
