"Look ahead" comps/gates

Hi - Are any of the stock Cubase 7.5.20 comps/gates “look-ahead”?

(Newb question follows):
If not (and I didn’t see that mentioned in the manual), how valuable is that feature? Is it compensated for by adjusting the attack, and does that in turn limit what can be done?

There is a button in the lower right hand corner of the plugins that says “live” that’s the look ahead.

I guess unless the “turn off delay compensation” button is activated, Cubase will shift everything so that the delay is matched … I hope I understand that right!

Yeah you will hear a stop/pause in the audio stream…my guess is it’s to correct the delay time
