Look what they did to my song?

Every time I produce an instrumental track people always say ‘You need vocals’ so I thought ok I will explore AI as I can’t sing to save myself. I uploaded the first song here to Suno and it came up with a variety of takes. I wrote some cheesy love song lyrics and I didn’t think it came out too bad. I had to really squeeze it down to be under the 4mb limit for this site.

In my mind composing songs in AI is akin to arriving at an exam not knowing anything but cheating your way through it.

The thing now is many composers on AI platforms don’t know their chords from a piece of rope. You could be tone deaf and AI will still produce something reasonable. I believe some of the best selling artists get AI to dream up their next hit.

Thank you for this, it’s always nice to start the day with a good laugh!

Glad you had a laugh! :joy:

I think they’d be very much underwhelmed. Since it’s the usual Suno AI slop, you can tell 10 seconds ahead which clichée is coming up next. It’s so utterly boring and uninspired to my ears.

Haha, yeah, something like that

Yes you can.
People can’t run a mile to save themselves from a bear either, unless they have trained. Here, this guy is good: Voice Masterclass

For vocals don’t use Suno, use SAM:

I’ve had no idea that the Steinberg Activation Manager has these hidden capabilities. If Rick Rubin learns about it he might turn to Cabase and make it his favourite DAW
