Looking for Quicker Way To Enter MIDI Note Groups

I’m doing classical pieces which require a lot of tuplet note groups (5, 7 10) flute glisses for example.

They are very tedious to enter via step-entry and, though easy enough for the intended player (again a flautist) often not practical to ‘play’ via keyboard.

I’m wondering if there is any feature in Cubase I’ve missed which makes entering such figures a lot faster. For example, a ‘palette’ of saved ‘groups’ of notes for example. Or maybe a faster way to switch between grids (like a keystroke to go from 4/4 with 16ths to ‘7/16ths’ ).

Just looking for ideas.

TIA,

Hello,

I’m using it this way:

  1. Open the Key Editor.
  2. Open Quantize tab.
  3. Set Grid to 1/8 or 1/16, or as you want
  4. Set Tuplets to 3 or 5 or 7, etc, as you want.

To change tuplets from 3 to 5 is just two clicks by mouse.

Or, you can save your own presets in the Quantize Panel and than use it same way, as other presets for quantization.

Best,
