Looping in Groove Agent or Cubase Pro 14 doesn´t work

Hi everyone

I just got a Launchpad Pro MK3 and I connected it to Cubase 14 Pro without any problems. However, there is no ready integration to Cubase and I knew that, but my problem is when I drag a loop onto one of the pads in a drum track or directly in Groove Agent SE and then select “sample” and change from One Shot to Continuous (or Until release), the loop only plays if I continue to press the pad on the Launchpad. It’s the same result if I choose Continous or Until Release, so there seems to be no difference between those two options. Of course, I want to be able to trigger the loop by quickly pressing the pad and it should then play itself continuously until I press it again and then turn off the loop again. Has anyone else experienced the same problem and made it work? If so, how? Pleas help!

As far as I know the looping that you describe is not within the scope of Groove Agent. Your topic’s title would be correct that it doesn’t work. It is not supposed to work.
So, what you have is a feature request.

Maybe somebody with deeper knowledge of Groove Agent SE has an ace up their sleeve.

OK, my bad then. But what does Continous mean?

I think maybe an arranger track could be the solution.

This means the sample will be played as long as the amplitude envelope defines it.
From the manual:

Great! Thanks!

I find the Steinberg solution kind of worthless for my purpose then  It could be a great thing for them to do a solution where looping is easy, then they have a complete DAW
