Lose audio when minimize window

Hi all,
In Cubase sx3 I used to be able to minimize the Cubase window and still be able to play the Cubase vst, now I’m using CUBASE 7.5 and I lose the vst sound as soon as I minimize Cubase. Is there a setting to correct this? Thanks in advance

Hi mystein,

go to Devices → Device Setup and under VST Audio System disable “Release Driver when Application is in Background”

Thanks for the response, but the problem is if “release driver when application is in background” is unchecked, then no other audio sources play because Cubase has exclusive use of it.

Hi mystein,

that is correct, but when the box is checked, then Cubase releases the driver when the application is in the background, i.e. when you minimize it.
