When I started the trial version of Dorico Pro 5 I had files with no sound. Others work fine. I have an iMac running Monterey OS. I have NotePerformer 4 and the songs that are working use NP4 just fine. I have tried watching the 15 min video on fixing these problems twice. I have taken a song that works and copied one that doesn’t work into it as a separate flow. It works fine, but then when I save and reload it, it again has no sound. The cursor moves. Interestingly, the equalizer just shows flute playing and not other winds and strings, but that is true for the song that works as well. I have tried going through all the settings on both songs that work and don’t to make sure the settings are the same. I have tried working with the online chat, but they didn’t have time to do this via chat (suggested calling in) and when I told them I am at work during those hours they said “sorry”. However, I have only been able to chat for ~10 min and they never had time to explore this with me. Anyway, I am lost and need help. Suggestions VERY welcome. Here is the diagnostics file for a song file with no audio.
Dorico Diagnostics.zip (1.4 MB)
Welcome to the forum amystephenson65.
Thanks for the diagnostics, they make it pretty clear. Please open the mixer window (F3) or go to the Play mode and make the lower zone show the mixer. In there pay attention to the red master fader on the right side, it is pulled down all the way to minus infinity. It is therefore clear of why you don’t hear anything.

Amy, go to the Play page of Preferences, and make sure that the slider for Default output level is dragged towards the right. That should make sure that the Mixer output levels are set appropriately in each new project you create.
