Losing players and staves when saving

I have saved a few pieces for a band and when i save the file loses players. For example I wrote a piece for a large middle school band and the next time it opened the trumpet part disappeared from several flows (5 of 17).. Anyone have this happen??

If you open the full score in Write mode, galley view, is the trumpet music there?

Yes it does have a part but no layer for the part

I think what you’re saying is that the trumpet layout is missing. In Setup mode, doing Setup > Create Default Part Layouts should recreate any missing layouts.

If that doesn’t help, can you upload your project file so someone can take a look?
