Im working on a project in Nuendo 14 and I have an instrument loaded from Kontakt that loses the sample data everytime I stop the transport. I have to reload the instrument each time I do anything. Its only affecting one instrument. This is exclusively a Nuendo 14 issue because when I load the project in 13, I have no issues with this particular library. The Instrument is still there, only the sample data is missing.
I haven’t used N14 extensively, but I have not observed this myself. Last night I was playing with K7 using Orange Tree Samples Evolution Dracus in particular and there were no issues. I could stop and restart playback and it all worked as expected.
Its only happening on Kontakt 7. I forgot to mention the library. ATELIER Anthem choir. I also opened up the project in Cubase 12 and no issue. This leads me to believe its a DAW issue.
I’ll play with it more tonight and see, Kontakt 7 is the only one I have, I haven’t upgraded to 8 yet. I don’t have anthem choir but I’ll load up something and try more libraries than just the one and see.
Still no issues. I loaded up a project in Nuendo 14 that was made with Nuendo 13 that uses Kontakt 7 for several patches including NI Session Horns, NI Noire, and NI Mallet Flux. No issues when starting and stopping playback or seeking around.
I fired up a blank session, imported some MIDI and assigned a number of different Kontakt libraries from Orange Tree, Kirk Hunter, and EastWest and again, no issues. I could start, stop, and seek without the samples going away.
This is using Nuendo 14.0.20 and Kontakt 7.10.7 on Windows 11 24H2.
