Loss of playback sounds this afternoon - was working fine this morning

Hi,

This morning I played back a Concert Band score without problems. I re-opened Dorico this afternoon, and I have no sound on any new or existing score. I am baffled.

I shut down and restarted my 2019 MacBook Pro (Intel 8 core i9 processor; 64GB memory; 1.19TB of 2TB memory available; Tahoe 26.5.2 - still no sounds from Dorico.

I have sounds in Apple Music.

This problem happened a couple of years ago - and Ulf guided me through deleting some files, though I can’t remember what they were or where they resided.

Please - I would appreciate some help.

Thanks

Check that the audio output is configured in Edit > Device Setup.

And if in the Device Setup dialog, click on the Device Control Panel button, a new little window appears. Are the output ports actually enabled?

ally enabled in there?

Thank you - you have solved the issue. When I had listened too the concert band score playback I first used the MacBook speakers and then used headphones. I had not appreciated that “the core audio device setting” output would have changed due to headphone use. (I thought it might have gone back to normal) but putting the tick in the output box has done the job.

Thank you for such a quick and helpful reply
