My trusty Nuendo 12 install - which is my main DAW under Windows 11 - suddenly lost all of its Control Room settings. 8-/
First I suspected the recent install of Nuendo 14 on the same machine to be the culprit, but this was quite a few days ago, and I don’t remember any issues since until today. To make things worse: All my presets from F4 / VST Connections vanished, too, not just the most recent setup.
The strange thing is that the quite complex and elaborate original settings plus all presets (!) are still there when I open NU14 (which I don’t use for actual work). Can I just hack the XML and copy/paste the settings from NU14 to NU12, or will this do more harm than good?
I needed things exactly the other way ‘round (NU12 was broken, in my case), but it seems to work nonetheless! … that was really a quick fix in any sense of the word, thanks!
