I have some how, lost my project files for a couple songs. I have NO idea how, but they are gone on all my backups as well. I have everything else, all the recordings etc… Am I doomed to re-record this?

If you have recorded in BWav mode, then you can import your files into a new project and perform a “move to origin”.
This will place them at the correct timeline.
Other than that, everything else will be lost.
Unless you have preserved your .bak files …
