loudness meta normalizer?

I am curious how you people do when you are trying to get all the songs on a cd get the same volume or “rms”.

Do you use for example the maximizer plugin and check on the loudness meter so that the tracks get roughly the same RMS?

Or do you use the “loudness meta normalizer”. I have never tried this function but I am curous if you others use it with good success? I know by experience that some things you dont want a program to fix “automatically”, but maybe this function gives a good result?

It gives good results (depending on the material and what you are attempting to achieve). I’d recommend the best way to find out is to try it, but always keeping in mind that your most accurate tool is your ears.
