Lower Zone permanently on second monitor

How do you detach the lower zone and permanently move it to a second monitor? I want to open my template with the lower zone permanently attached to second screen.

Initially I was trying to move the lower zone editing screen, but obviously when you are done editing and click on something else, it disappears. So I was hoping to move the entire lower zone to second monitor.

It doesn’t detach. You can choose to use a windowed editor.

See Preferences>Editors

Thanks, I’ll give that a try… so I assume there is no way to make the lower zone disappear from the main window once you’ve opened it on the second monitor?

Why do you assume that? Did you try the setting @steve mentioned?

Of course, you can hide the lower zone.

Excellent! I “think” this is about as good as I can make it thanks to you guys.
I changed the preferences to “window”, moved the mixer to the other monitor, then turned off lower section on main screen. The mixer stayed in place. Now when I double click a midi (element or whatever you call it) on a track on the main screen, It opens on second monitor over the top of the mixer. Thanks again!!
