How can I get an extender line for the word ‘plunged’ to continue from the Bb to the C. It works in other contexts, but for some reason, not here.
If you pressed Space twice after “plunged” to bring the popover on the first note of the triplet, the extender line should normally appear.
Otherwise, you can select “plunged” and use Shift+Alt/Opt+Right arrow several times to create the line.
Hitting space twice just moves the whole word slightly. The second option creates the line and I could manually adjust in Engrave. Not ideal for larger text setting but a good workaround. Thanks Charles!
Words with extensions are normally left-aligned with the notehead, rather than centred, which is why the word moves to the right. After that, there’s probably very little space for the line.
