Yep! That was the first advice. Got it, ya’ll! Thank you to everybody who helped me out!

Well, I’m back!

In the attached file, I’ve changed the Library > Engraving Options [-⌘-E] > Lyrics > Extender Lines settings so that the “Minimum length for extender line” is set to 1 space (I also tried “2” first).

Then I go to the lyric “Kaip” (3rd system, first word in 2nd stanza), I click on the lyric to get the pop-up box. Then I press Space bar. I do not get a extender line. Why?

I did the same thing where there already are some extender lines, and Dorico removed the ones that are there. So I must have some setting set incorrectly …

Thank you!

The first Space only advances to the next note, as if you will type another syllable there, so it removes any extender. When you type Space a second time, it extends the line and moves the popover to the next syllable “tė” – Then you can hit Escape to exit.

Thank you, @Mark_Johnson!

I’m not sure why I can’t get that through my head – that I have to press space bar twice. I knew that in theory, but for whatever reason it slipped my mind. Of course, it works perfectly!

Thanks!
