Lyrics define display out

Hi at all,

I have a question regarding displaying procedure of lyrics.

We use an external monitor to display the lyrics to the lead singer. When I start VST live I have to “undock” the lyrics window, move it to the external display and maximize it.

There are some difficulties and sources of error I think.

  • forget to maximize results in small text
  • forget to move the lyrics to the external display → no text :smiley:
  • difficult to move the window to the display and maximize it, when the laptop is on the back side of the stage and the monitor in front of the stage

Is it possible to set a default display where the lyrics is always displayed (maximized).

If not, please improve it. It would be nice to find an option in the preferences to configure it. And it should be asked on startup when before the project is loaded.

Hi @kraimor ,

Just a tiny additional idea: did you know, lyrics can be displayed on iPad app too? If you grab a second hand one with 12,9” display….

Yes I know it. But want to display it on a large monitor on the floor of the stage. :slight_smile:

I tested V2.1.1 now both on my MAC and WIN. Seems detached lyrics window remains on my secondary disply after save/closing/reopen. One thing not remembered is the “Full screen mode”, but seems the size remains on full screen, just the say “fullsscreen mode” is not recalled.
@Spork is it controlled by OS, or can be saved maybe with the project?
