I am having an issue in Dorico 6 I need help with. When I am typing out my lyrics for my Christmas song I cannot get them spaced correctly. Here is a screenshot.
Delete the system/frame breaks, or reset layout in engrave mode.

Also you will give yourself more space if you don’t show staff labels after the first system.

Yes, the spacing for your lyrics ended up distorted, because you had used system and frame breaks to lock the music into place, perhaps before you added the lyrics?
The horizontal spacing around lyrics often means that the default note spacing needs to be pushed around, so the spacing that works pre-lyrics won’t necessarily work post-lyrics.
You can reduce the impact of lyrics on note spacing by reducing some of the horizontal gap values in Engraving Options > Lyrics (in particular, the minimum gap between adjacent lyrics, and the minimum gaps between lyrics and hyphens).
Showing either no staff labels, or only short instrument names, from the 2nd system onwards will give you more horizontal space too.
