Is there an easy way to achieve this without any workaround?
I entered the lyrics for the repeat as “is translation” and set the font to regular instead of italics. But what would you do, if you want to add a translation too?
I would recommand to add another option for lyrics: “is reapeat”.
When we actually have proper semantic support for repeats, we will be able to have a proper semantic solution for this. Ideally the lyrics would be bound not only to a rhythmic position in a voice, but also a rhythmic position in a voice on a particular repetition of the music, so that ultimately we will be able to do clever things like optionally “write out” the repeats automatically and still have all the lyrics etc. in the right places.
And, in any case (workaround or a baked-in solution), how can I get the stanza number to look like this (centered vertically on the two lines of repeating text) and have a bracket / brace?
Wondering if anything has occurred since 2017.
Using the “translation” line - as suggested by Thomas - is a valid alternative (and the translation font is easily changed to regular). However, I find the additional option “is repeat” as addition to “is translation” rather attractive.
I’ve done the bracket and number in staff text here. The bracket is from the contextual menu “Insert music text…” and then changed the sizes and baseline of the verse number.
