MAC: Audio crackling while changing Volume Handle.

  • Cubase 8.00 - 64bit
  • OSX 10.9.5, Core i7, 3.4 ghz, 32 gig ram.
  • RME HDSPE, 44 khz, 16 bit.

Problem:

I have project with only 1 audiotrack, with 6 minutes piece of audio on it, audiowarped to fixed tempo, with elastique pro protocol.

When i move Volume handle when stopped: real peak meter jumps heavily and goes into red often.
When i move Volume handle when in play: real peak meter jumps heavily and goes into red often plus hearable audio cracking when in red.

When i place un-audiowarped audio on the one audiotrack and change Volume handle of it, again heavy jumping of real peak meter, but doesn’t go into red and thus no hearable audio crackling when cubase is in play.

Tried:

  • all different settings in ASIO Guard, including ON/OFF.
  • tried all different buffer settings for HDSPe.

No succes. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Thank you for confirming, can more people confirm ?
Hope this will get fixed soon.
